The North Kaneshie Assemblies Of God has celebrated its 50th anniversary in a grand style with a call on the to do even more by continuing with its missionary activities.
The event was attended by , government officials, ' 2020 Running mate, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, for Former of the Republic of Ghana, Theodora Georgina Woode as well as a host of pastors from other churches.
It was on the theme: “Ebenezer, thus far the Lord has helped us”.
Established in 1972, the North Kaneshie Assemblies Of God is Considered the “Mother of all churches” after producing more than 150 pastors within the period.
The church was established by a Brazilian Missionary from Sao Palo Rev.
Pedro De Pax Barbosa with just eight (8) members.
Today, the church has developed to become one of the fastest-growing churches in Ghana.
Dubbed “Celebrating 50 years of God's goodness, Head Pastor of the church, Rev.
Anthony John Doeh, paid glowing tribute to the founder of the church and his successor, Rev.
Harry Morgan Nsaidoo who became the Head Pastor of the church for 42 years until his retirement in 2017.
” Allow me at this juncture to seize the opportunity to openly congratulate them as my forerunners for their sacrificial efforts in carrying the church of God on their shoulders and bearing the burden associated with it until such a time as handed over to me.
For many of these challenges and battles I can clearly and confidently attest to the fact that it was only the Lord's help that saw us through”.
Delivering a sermon based on the scriptures, Joshua 13, the General Suprintendent of the Assemblies of God, Reverend Stephen Wengam said the next 50 years will define the church, charging the church to permeate societies and communities and continue with its missionary activities.

At 50 oh we have raised 120 pastors that's good but no Christ said I must go to other towns and villages for this is the reason why I was sent” .
Speaking on behalf of the Former President of Ghana, , the National Democratic Congress' 2020 running mate, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman said the churches must take active interest in the way the country is being governed by voicing their frustrations.
She said a lot of reckless borrowing going on could be stopped if only the church will make their voices heard.
Delivering the key note address on behalf of the , , the for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Stephen Asamoah Boateng, said the government is turning the economy around in spite of the setbacks recorded in the early part of 2019 due to the 19 pandemic.
“Her own (Former President Mahama) acknowledged that the economy was not off in the COVID era.
The Vice President has been everywhere with some accusing him that he's not a Christian but he's a Muslim but he wants of the country and so as we enter the elections in 2024 he entreats you to stick together as Ghanaians”.
An anniversary cake was cut to climax the occasion whiles a plaque was unveiled in honour of the founding fathers of the church.
The Vice President also donated GHC 50, 000 towards the construction of the church project.
