Looking ahead to the group stage, Polo predicts Ghana’s qualification as runners-up in Group B, acknowledging the challenges posed by strong competitors like Egypt, Cape Verde, and Mozambique.

“I expect Ghana to qualify as runner-up to Egypt in Group Two, but advancement will not be easy in the presence of Cape Verde and Mozambique,” the former Hearts of Oak coach added.

Ghana is set to face Egypt on January 18, 2024, at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan in their second group game

The Black Stars will also contend with Cape Verde and Mozambique in the group stage.
