I’ve been reading my Bible, praying to win Grammy – Davido

Davido has expressed his resolute desire to win a Grammy, despite being told by an analyst that it would never happen.

In his pursuit of this objective, Davido said he made winning a Grammy his daily prayer.

He mentioned that combines his prayers with reading the Bible.

Davido’s dedication and faith seem to be paying off, as his album ‘Timeless’ has received three nominations for this year’s Grammys.

His hit songs, ‘Unavailable’ and ‘Feel’, have been nominated in the Best African Music Performance and Best Global Music Performance categories, respectively.

In a recent interview with British GQ, Davido shared that he draws inspiration from the biblical story of David, who defeated Goliath against all odds.

He believes that just like his namesake, he will overcome any challenges that come his way.

Throughout his lowest moments, Davido has found solace in his faith, as he believes that God has always come through for him, even when all hope seems lost.

Davido said partly: “Everybody knows what one of my prayer points is now.

I have been nominated for three Grammys.

So, everybody knows what I am praying for every day I wake up.”
